We are currently recruiting a committed and motivated Year 5 Teacher to work in a welcoming inner-city primary school in Leeds from September 2026. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about raising attainment, building strong relationships, and making a meaningful impact in a diverse school community. You will be supporting pupils as they develop higher-level Key Stage 2 skills in preparation for Year 6.

Your responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Year 5 lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Support pupils with a range of academic, social, and emotional needs
- Raise attainment in core subjects, particularly reading, writing, and maths
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of mixed-ability learners, including SEND and EAL pupils
- Use positive and consistent behaviour management strategies
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and pastoral staff
- Track pupil progress and deliver targeted interventions where required
- Create a positive, inclusive, and aspirational classroom environment
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Year 5 or Upper Key Stage 2
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Secure understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment expectations
- Excellent communication, resilience, and adaptability
