What you will be doing
- Take full responsibility for the design and development of RF and microwave filters and subsystems
- Deliver designs from concept through simulation, prototyping, validation and release
- Carry out filter simulation, optimisation and tolerance analysis
- Lead or contribute to new product introduction activities, ensuring designs are production‑ready
- Conduct hands‑on tuning, testing and validation using lab equipment including VNAs
- Produce and maintain high‑quality technical documentation and design packs
- Support customer interaction during technical discussions and project delivery
- Contribute to R&D activities focused on next‑generation filter technologies
What we are looking for
This is a specialist role. We are specifically seeking engineers with proven experience in RF and microwave filter design.
- Strong experience designing RF / microwave filters such as:
- Cavity filters
- Waveguide filters
- Dielectric or ceramic filters
- Duplexers or multiplexers
- Simulation and modelling using tools such as Microwave Office, CST, ADS or HFSS
- Working with S‑parameters, insertion loss and return loss
- Practical tuning, optimisation and validation
- Laboratory experience including VNA testing and filter tuning
- RF or microwave component manufacturing
- Defence, aerospace, space or telecoms
- Involvement in taking designs into production, including NPI processes
What will set you apart
- Experience working on passive RF components and high‑reliability systems
- Background in RF subsystem or component‑focused organisations
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical workstreams
Eligibility requirements
- Have the right to work in the UK without restriction
- Be able to meet UK Security Clearance requirements, including a minimum of 5 years continuous UK residency
Salary and benefits
- ÂŁ55,000 to ÂŁ75,000 depending on experience and level
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
