An established and successful organisation in North Yorks is looking for a motivated Credit Controller to join its busy finance team on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous credit control or finance experience who enjoys building relationships, resolving queries and taking ownership of their own workload. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing your own customer ledger and following up on overdue payments
- Building strong relationships with internal teams and external customers
- Investigating and resolving account and payment queries efficiently
- Accurately recording queries and ensuring they are followed through to resolution
- Providing support and cover for other members of the finance team when required
What We're Looking For:
- Previous credit control experience would be beneficial, although full training can be provided for someone with the right attitude and transferable finance experience.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A confident and professional telephone manner
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience using Excel, with knowledge of formulas and pivot tables advantageous
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
This is a permanent role and is commutable from Harrogate, Wetherby, Knaresborough, Ripon and North Leeds and is an excellent opportunity to join an established finance team.
