A well-established and leading manufacturing company based in North Yorkshire is looking for a Head of SHEQ to join the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a great organisation and is site based with occasional travel and offers attractive salary & benefits.

The successful SHEQ Manager will be responsible for:

  • Lead, manage, motivate, and develop the SHEQ team across the business
  • Develop, implement, and maintain SHEQ policies, procedures, and management systems in line with legislation, ISO standards, and best practice
  • Lead the SHEQ strategy across manufacturing facilities and customer construction sites
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and quality assurance
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and improvement opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality, contractual, and statutory requirements
  • Manage internal and external audits for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and non-conformances, ensuring robust root cause analysis and corrective actions

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior SHEQ role within the construction or engineering sector
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and CDM regulations
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive approach to risk management and problem-solving
  • Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Quality Management, or a related discipline
  • NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent professional certification (highly desirable)
