We are working with a lovely and welcoming primary school in Scarborough to recruit a caring and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young learners at the very start of their education journey in a nurturing and engaging environment.

About the Role

You will play a key part in supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive setting where every child can thrive. Working closely with the class teacher, you will support learning through play, encourage development, and help build confidence in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children’s learning and development in line with EYFS framework
  • Assist with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy activities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support where needed
  • Help create a positive, engaging, and structured environment
  • Support children’s social and emotional development
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to monitor progress

What We’re Looking For

Level 3 Early Years qualification preferred. Experience working with young children is advantageous.
