The Role
As an Electrical Engineer, you will provide design and engineering support across small projects or defined sections of larger programmes. You will:
- Contribute to R&D activities and new product development
- Produce electrical design specifications and technical documentation
- Support production, logistics and integration teams
- Assist with quotes and technical proposals
- Provide engineering input across the full product lifecycle
- Support offsite builds and customer installations where required
- Assist with operating and maintenance manuals
- Ensure designs meet company procedures and relevant regulations
- Deliver projects within agreed timescales and budgets
You will apply electrical engineering expertise across areas such as:
- Electric motor specification and design
- Power distribution and protection systems
- Variable speed drives and soft starts
- Wiring distribution systems
- Industrial communication protocols
- Analogue and digital circuit design
- PCB design and prototyping
What we are looking for
We welcome applications from Electrical Engineers who can demonstrate:
- A degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification
- Experience within an engineering design environment
- Strong understanding of electrical design principles
- Experience producing technical drawings and documentation
- Ability to problem solve and work within multi‑disciplinary teams
- Strong communication and record keeping skills
Exposure to areas such as power transmission systems, PCB design using Altium or similar, industrial communication systems, offshore or subsea equipment would be advantageous but not essential. We are keen to speak with candidates who have worked in roles such as Electrical Design Engineer, Electronic Engineer, Controls Engineer or Systems Engineer.
Working Pattern
- 37 hours per week
- 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday
- 4pm finish on Friday
- Flexi‑time available
- Overtime available
