Due to company growth, we are seeking a Commercial Insurance Manager to join a fantastic team based in Hull. If your CV is ready and you are confident this is the role for you, make sure to apply as soon as possible.
This new role has been created to support the Head of Commercial by providing dedicated leadership, training, and coaching to ensure the team receives consistent guidance and direction. You will also oversee team performance, ensuring workloads are balanced, all interactions are handled professionally, and business opportunities are managed efficiently.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Focus on achieving department sales goals using the sales management process.
- Develop new strategies and improvements to enhance the client journey, boost team expertise, and improve ways of working.
- Manage the team effectively by identifying individual strengths and ensuring they are used well.
- Oversee team coaching and training and help develop their technical knowledge to meet objectives.
- Support recruitment when needed and ensure new employees have a smooth and compliant induction.
- Introduce and maintain initiatives to keep the team motivated and engaged.
- Manage, lead, and motivate the team by providing constructive feedback, encouraging teamwork, and maintaining morale.
- Monitor and review the team's performance and ensure they follow FCA regulations when dealing with clients, using the company's monitoring and supervision procedures.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Solid insurance experience, ideally within commercial or business sectors.
- Have completed your CII or willing to complete.
- Experience working within an FCA regulatory framework.
- Management experience is preferred, or be a senior Insurance expert.
- Strong coaching and training skills.
- The ability to act quickly under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A business or financial-related degree would be advantageous but not essential.
This position will be working Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm, earning a salary between £35,000-£45,000 depending on your experience within Insurance and management.
