This is a permanent role offering genuine hybrid and remote working flexibility, making it suitable for candidates based across East Yorkshire and much further afield, provided they can attend site when required. The company operates within specialist modular and structural engineering projects and offers long-term workload stability, modern systems, and a collaborative design environment.

The role involves producing accurate 3D models and fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures. You will generate GA drawings from architectural and engineering information for client approval and progress approved designs into fabrication component drawings for manufacture. The work is primarily focused on modular buildings, with additional exposure to wall framing and structural steel projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Producing Tekla Structures 3D models and detailed drawings
  • Creating GA drawings and fabrication information
  • Detailing structural steel including connections and erection data
  • Supporting modular and offsite construction projects
  • Managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Liaising with clients, engineers, architects and workshop teams
  • Working to BIM processes and industry standards

Skills and experience required:

  • Proven Tekla Structures experience is essential
  • Ideally 3+ years' experience using Tekla in a commercial environment
  • Background in steel fabrication and structural detailing
  • Experience with modular construction or offsite projects is beneficial
  • Understanding of hot-rolled frames, portal frames or similar structures
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage workload independently
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks or similar software is advantageous but not essential.

Salary and benefits:

  • Salary £40,000 to £50,000
  • Flexibility for the right candidate, roughly £35,000 to £55,000
  • Discretionary annual bonus
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Pension scheme
  • Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Hybrid and remote working available depending on experience

Location: The role is based within the East Yorkshire area, commutable from Hull, Driffield, Scarborough and surrounding locations. Due to the hybrid and remote working structure, candidates based further afield within the UK are encouraged to apply. This opportunity would suit an experienced Tekla Draughtsman looking for flexibility, stability, and high-quality engineering projects without full-time site attendance.
