A leading manufacturing business in Bridlington is looking for an Encapsulation Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day running of a fast-paced production department. This is a hands-on leadership role within a regulated manufacturing environment, overseeing Supervisors and Operators to ensure production targets, quality standards and compliance requirements are consistently achieved across all Encapsulation shifts.

The role will involve:

  • Supporting the Production Manager with the daily running of the Encapsulation department
  • Leading, coaching and developing production teams across multiple shifts
  • Ensuring production plans are achieved safely, efficiently and right first time
  • Driving standards across GMP, hygiene, food safety and compliance
  • Supporting audits, process improvements, shutdowns and changeovers
  • Working closely with Planning, Engineering, Technical and NPD teams
  • Managing staffing levels, training and performance within the department
  • Identifying operational issues and driving continuous improvement activities

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous leadership experience within manufacturing
  • Experience working within FMCG, food, supplements, pharmaceutical or regulated production environments
  • Strong people management and communication skills
  • Knowledge of health & safety, quality and food safety standards
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive and hands-on approach to problem solving and team development
