An established and successful organisation based in East Yorkshire is looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Assistant to join its busy finance team on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous accounts experience who enjoys a varied role and is looking to join a stable and supportive working environment.
The Role
- Posting sales and purchase invoices accurately onto the accounting system
- Investigating and resolving unallocated transactions
- Completing supplier statement reconciliations
- Recording and reconciling monthly petty cash transactions
- Assisting with bank reconciliations
- Processing BACS payments to suppliers
- Managing intercompany recharges and ensuring accurate allocation across entities
- Supporting the wider finance team with general accounting duties as required
About You
- Around 2β3 years' experience within an accounts or finance environment
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- A confident and professional telephone manner
- The ability to investigate queries and follow them through to resolution
- A proactive and organised approach to managing workloads and deadlines
- Their own transport, as the location is not easily accessible by public transport
