We’re looking for an organised and proactive Administrator to support a busy team in Whitby on a 6-month fixed term contract. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys supporting a team with a variety of administrative and coordination tasks, and will fit into a friendly, collaborative atmosphere where no two days are the same. Some of the Administrator duties include: Manage correspondence and prioritise tasks. Coordinate meetings, appointments, travel, events, and conferences, including travel risk assessments and itineraries. Support leadership and team members with diaries, absences, onboarding, and general administration. Take minutes, track follow-up actions, and circulate reports, presentations, and confidential documents. Handle expense claims, purchase orders, and NDA administration. Act as first point of contact for internal and external queries, calls, and emails. Assist with organising team events and third-party visits, including venues, travel, accommodation, and schedules. Upload publications and presentations to conference websites as required.The ideal candidate will be highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities with ease. Key strengths include managing diaries for several people, booking travel and accommodation, and understanding international time zones. You’ll be confident prioritising tasks and keeping the team running smoothly. This 6-month fixed-term contract will be working 37.5 hours per week, with standard hours of 9am–5pm including a 30-minute lunch, though flexible start and finish times can be accommodated, earning a salary at or around £28,000–£30,000 (Pro-rata).
