An established engineering and manufacturing business with a global customer base is looking to recruit an Electrical & Electronics Design Engineer to support the design and development of specialist engineered systems used in demanding offshore environments. This is an opportunity to join a highly skilled engineering team working on technically advanced equipment recognised worldwide for quality, reliability and innovation. The role offers involvement across the full project lifecycle, from concept and detailed design through to manufacturing support and customer interaction. What the Electrical & Electronics Design Engineer role will involve:

  • Managing engineering design projects from concept through to manufacturing handover
  • Producing electrical and electronic designs, specifications and technical documentation
  • Supporting the development of new products and engineering improvements
  • Designing and supporting systems including power distribution, communication protocols and industrial electronics
  • Providing technical support to production, integration and logistics teams
  • Supporting customer enquiries, proposals and technical documentation
  • Assisting with testing, inspection and certification activities
  • Working closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams on complex projects
  • Supporting continuous improvement and engineering best practice

We would be keen to speak with Electrical & Electronics Design Engineers who have:

  • Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
  • Previous experience working within an engineering design environment
  • Experience with electrical systems, power distribution and industrial electronics
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as RS232, RS485, SPI, I²C or Ethernet
  • PCB design experience using Altium or similar software
  • Understanding of analogue and digital electronic circuit design
  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation and engineering drawings
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach

Experience within offshore, marine, industrial equipment or automation environments would be beneficial but is not essential.
