Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional looking for your next opportunity within FMCG manufacturing? We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Manager to join a well-established manufacturing business in Whitby. Reporting into the Operations Director, this role will take ownership of driving and developing the site-wide Health & Safety culture across the business. This is a highly visible role working closely with operational leaders to improve systems, drive engagement, and support continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop Health & Safety improvement plans across the business
  • Maintain and improve the H&S management system
  • Drive a proactive and positive safety culture across site
  • Support audits, investigations and compliance activities
  • Work closely with managers to improve accountability and engagement
  • Liaise with external bodies including HSE and insurers
  • Analyse H&S data and identify improvement opportunities
  • Support wider continuous improvement initiatives across the operation

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a Health & Safety leadership role
  • Manufacturing or FMCG experience
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence across departments
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • NEBOSH Certificate essential
  • NEBOSH Diploma desirable
  • Experience within food manufacturing or 24-hour operations would be advantageous.
