A well-established engineering manufacturer in Scarborough is looking to strengthen its service team with the addition of a Service Engineer. This is a varied, customer-facing role offering a strong mix of workshop-based support and international field service work, ideal for an engineer who enjoys both hands-on work and technical problem solving.
Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm
Salary £39k - £43k with further earning potential.
The role:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting, both remotely and on-site.
- Carry out service, repairs, overhauls and commissioning of specialist machinery.
- Support customers with training and product instruction.
- Process service requests and spare parts enquiries, including preparing quotations.
- Work closely with production and logistics to ensure smooth delivery of parts and services.
- Support administration linked to service and spare parts orders.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a Service Engineer, ideally within HVAC, ventilation or similar sectors.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills on machinery and equipment.
- Confident working independently in a customer-facing environment.
- IT literate, with MS Office experience; ERP systems such as SAGE beneficial.
- Flexible approach with a willingness to travel internationally as required.
