Are you a practical, reliable and hands on individual looking for your next opportunity? Castle Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and well established secondary school in Scarborough to recruit a Temporary Site Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in keeping a busy school safe, secure and running smoothly.
No two days are the same in this varied role. From carrying out minor repairs to ensuring the school site is safe and well maintained, you will be an essential part of the school's day to day operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Opening and securing the school site
- Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs
- Ensuring the school grounds and buildings are clean, safe and well presented
- Supporting and overseeing cleaning staff
- Managing deliveries and contractors on site
- Reporting and resolving maintenance issues
- Helping to maintain a safe environment for pupils, staff and visitors
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in caretaking, facilities, maintenance or site supervision
- Good practical DIY and maintenance skills
- A strong understanding of health and safety
- The ability to work independently and use their own initiative
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A flexible, proactive and reliable approach
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one. Funding is available for the right candidate.
