Structural Steel Plater / Welder – Night Shift
Location: Scarborough
Permanent | PAYE | Heavy Structural Steel
An established structural steel manufacturing facility in Scarborough is recruiting experienced Plater / Welders for a permanent night shift position. This is a heavy structural steel environment, suited to individuals confident working on large scale fabrications and thick section steel.
Night Shift - Monday – Thursday 7.00pm – 4.45am
Pay £24.16 per hour
Basic £46,483.84 per annum
Overtime paid up to £36.24 per hour
As a Plater / Welder you will:
- Fabricate heavy structural steel sections to drawing
- Plate and assemble large steel components of varying thickness
- Carry out MIG / MAG and Flux Core welding, predominantly downhand
- Complete multi run fillet and butt welds on thick plate
- Weld to structural coded standards
- Work accurately from detailed engineering drawings
- Maintain high quality standards within a regulated heavy steel environment
