About the role

You will be working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH), and behavioural and learning difficulties. You will be placed across a range of specialist school settings in Scarborough, delivering engaging, adapted teaching to support progress and positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Delivering tailored lessons to meet individual learning needs
  • Supporting pupils with behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement
  • Adapting teaching approaches to suit a range of abilities and needs
  • Working closely with SENCOs, support staff and pastoral teams
  • Creating a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
  • Monitoring pupil progress and encouraging positive outcomes
