About the role
You will be working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH), and behavioural and learning difficulties. You will be placed across a range of specialist school settings in Scarborough, delivering engaging, adapted teaching to support progress and positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Delivering tailored lessons to meet individual learning needs
- Supporting pupils with behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement
- Adapting teaching approaches to suit a range of abilities and needs
- Working closely with SENCOs, support staff and pastoral teams
- Creating a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
- Monitoring pupil progress and encouraging positive outcomes
