Castle Employment Group are proud to be partnering with a respected, not-for-profit care home in Scarborough to recruit a Care Manager into their compassionate, community-focused team. The Home is known locally for its outstanding care and calm, welcoming environment. With around 60 residents and exciting new investments underway – including a new on-site café for families and residents – the home is building on its commitment to person-centred, forward-thinking care with a strong environmental ethos.
The Role
We’re looking for a values-led Care Manager to join this tight-knit team of around 80. You’ll be directly supervising a small cluster of 5–6 carers, reporting into the Deputy Head of Home and the Registered Manager/CEO. Your role will focus on:
- Day-to-day team supervision
- Staff appraisals and 1:1s
- Leading care delivery, identifying areas for improvement
- Supporting residents and families with dignity, honesty and compassion
- Responding calmly and effectively in emergencies (e.g. falls or loss of consciousness)
- Maintaining care documentation (training provided on Care Doc and Bright HR)
- Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and best practices
Please note: You won’t be responsible for rota planning or delivering internal training – this role is all about leading by example and supporting a high-quality care culture on the floor.
What You’ll Need
- Experience in a senior care or supervisory role
- Strong, calm decision-making in high-pressure situations

- Level 3 Health & Social Care (minimum) – Level 5 desirable
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- 3 references
- IT confidence training will be given on internal systems
