Quality Coordinator

Full-Time On-site
C

We are recruiting for a Quality Coordinator to join a busy manufacturing business in York. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Administrator with strong IT skills, excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to their work.

You don't necessarily need a background in quality, we are looking for someone with a strong administrative background who enjoys working with information, keeping systems organised and getting involved in different areas of a business.

Working closely with the Quality Manager, you'll play an important role in maintaining accurate records, managing documentation, supporting investigations and ensuring quality processes run smoothly.

This is a varied role combining computer-based administration with opportunities to get out into the factory, speak with different teams and investigate issues firsthand.

Some of the Quality Coordinator duties will include:

  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to the Quality Manager and wider team.
  • Organising, updating and improving electronic filing systems and quality documentation.
  • Typing up reports, entering information and maintaining accurate records across various systems.
  • Supporting customer complaint investigations, gathering information and helping identify what went wrong.
  • Liaising with colleagues across the factory and wider business to obtain information and resolve queries.
  • Assisting with internal audits, recording findings and following up on actions.
  • Maintaining supplier information, documentation and approval records.
  • Supporting product traceability checks and keeping accurate records of ingredients and materials.
  • Updating employee training records and assisting with training administration.
  • Supporting general quality checks and ensuring paperwork is completed and filed correctly.

We would love to hear from people with the following skills and experience:

  • Strong administration experience, with a proven track record of longevity in previous roles.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, accurate data entry and fast, confident typing.
  • Experience managing electronic filing systems, documentation or detailed records.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to understand and organise complex information.
  • Confident communication skills, with the ability to work with people at all levels.
  • A proactive approach, using your own initiative to investigate issues and find information.

Previous experience in quality administration, document control or manufacturing would be beneficial, but strong administrative skills, a willingness to learn and the right attitude are the most important things.

This is working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break, and Fridays 8am to 1:30pm, giving you an early finish to start your weekend, earning Β£29,000.

If you're an experienced Administrator looking for an opportunity to develop your skills, take on more responsibility and enjoy a varied role within a manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.
