A growing specialist engineering business is seeking a highly organised Finance & Project Administrator to join its operations team during an exciting period of expansion. Operating across large-scale commercial and industrial projects, the business delivers specialist solutions into fast-paced, project-driven environments both in the UK and internationally. This is a varied, hands-on role offering genuine ownership and the opportunity to play a key part in supporting the next stage of growth.
The Opportunity
This position has been created to strengthen operational and finance processes as project volumes continue to increase. Working closely with directors, project coordination teams and an external accountant, you will become a central point of support across the business. The role would suit someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, can manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and is confident operating with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating contractor administration across multiple live projects
- Managing timesheets, documentation and contractor records
- Supporting finance administration and liaising with the external accountant
- Processing and maintaining records within Xero
- Providing day-to-day operational and office support
- Acting as a key coordination point between projects, finance and leadership teams
- Helping improve internal structure, organisation and administrative processes
About You
- Previous finance or accounts administration experience is essential
- Experience using Xero is highly desirable
- Background within a project-led, engineering, manufacturing or contract environment would be advantageous
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
- Proactive, adaptable and comfortable within a fast-paced environment
- Confident communicating with both operational teams and senior stakeholders
