Shift Pattern: Double Days – 6:00am–2:00pm / 2:00pm–10:00pm (8-hour shifts)

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Waste Team Member to join a busy manufacturing environment on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining high standards of housekeeping, and is comfortable carrying out physical duties throughout their shift. Working as part of the waste management team, you will play a key role in supporting recycling and waste processes while ensuring all health, safety, and environmental procedures are followed.

Key Duties

  • Safely load, unload, and move waste materials using manual handling techniques and equipment.
  • Sort and separate waste and recyclable plastics into the correct containers and locations.
  • Operate waste processing and plastic grinding machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Carry out basic equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance issues.
  • Keep waste and recycling areas clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
  • Follow all Health & Safety, environmental, and PPE requirements while working as part of the team.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A valid FLT licence (preferred, although training may be provided for the right candidate).
  • The ability to safely operate machinery and equipment.
  • A willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including manual handling and prolonged periods of standing.
