A growing, family-owned manufacturing business in Pickering is looking to appoint a Training Coordinator to take ownership of onboarding, training and early-stage employee development across the site. Based in Pickering, the role offers Monday to Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm, with an early finish at 1:30pm on Fridays, and a salary of up to £40,000. This is a key role focused on improving retention, consistency and the overall employee experience. You will have the opportunity to bring structure to training, enhance onboarding and make a visible impact from day one.

The Role

  • Working closely with managers and team leaders, you will take responsibility for how new starters are introduced, supported and developed across the business.
  • Design and deliver structured induction programmes.
  • Improve the onboarding experience, ensuring employees are set up for success.
  • Identify skills gaps and support the development of targeted training plans.
  • Coordinate and deliver training activity across teams.
  • Support managers with coaching and team development.
  • Introduce and maintain a more structured approach to L&D.
  • Track progress, gather feedback and drive continuous improvement.

About You

  • This role would suit someone from a hands-on HR admin, training or coordination background who enjoys working closely with people in a fast-paced, operational environment.
  • Experience supporting or delivering inductions and onboarding.
  • Background within HR admin, training or coordination roles.
  • Exposure to training, skills development or employee engagement.
