Job Description

Location: Pickering
Shift Pattern: 3x2 shift pattern, 8am-8pm and 8pm-8am
Pay Rate: Β£13.26 per hour
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Team Member (MP&L Pallet Person) to join our team in Pickering. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and supply of materials to production areas while maintaining the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all site Health & Safety requirements at all times.
  • Replenish and maintain stock levels within production Kanban
  • Accurately receive and locate stock within Kanban areas using the barcode scanning system.
  • Pick and supply WIP (Work in Progress) and purchased components to production cells in line with production schedules, utilising the barcode system.
  • Carry out stock counts and stock-taking activities as required.
  • Ensure storage locations within Kanban and production areas are organised, optimised, and maintained safely.
  • Perform ICS checks and book finished goods accurately.
  • Shrink-wrap pallets ready for storage or dispatch.
  • Promote safe working practices in all aspects of material handling and product movement.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including holiday cover and occasional weekend work.

Hours of work

Shift Pattern A B C - 11.40 hours per shift

Days Weds – Fri 7.50am -20.00pm (2 rest days)

Nights Mon – Weds 19.50pm – 8.00am (4 rest days)

Split Mon- Tues 7.50am – 20.00pm (1 rest day)

Thurs Fri 19.50pm – 8.00am

Breaks 2 x15 mins and 1 x 30mins (unpaid)
