Castle Employment Group is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and successful CNC machining and manufacturing business for an experienced and hands-on Production Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to lead a well-established manufacturing site in North Yorkshire and a rare opportunity to join a thriving company, with a possible progression path to General Manager for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all day-to-day production operations within the workshop
- Develop and manage efficient production plans and schedules
- Lead and supervise a small workshop team, ensuring high performance
- Monitor product quality and ensure customer specifications are met
- Coordinate materials, labour, and equipment usage
- Maintain accurate production records and KPI reporting
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments
- Support implementation and use of production software (Emax)
- Uphold Health & Safety standards and ensure staff are properly equipped
- Drive continuous improvement in production processes
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar role within manufacturing
- Strong practical understanding of workshop processes and machinery
- Effective leadership and people management skills
- Excellent organisation, communication and problem-solving abilities
- Hands-on, proactive approach to daily operations
- Experience using production systems/software (Emax experience beneficial)
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a background in CNC machining, who can bring first-hand knowledge of machining processes, tooling and programming and who understand how to interpret what they see on the shop floor.
