Are you an experienced Stores Operative or Goods In professional looking for a varied role within a successful manufacturing business?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established electronics manufacturer with a supportive family feel and a great track record of developing people from within.
Working as part of the stores and goods in team, you'll play an important role in making sure materials and components are received, booked in, stored correctly and available for production when needed. You'll also support with incoming inspection, with full training provided where required.
Responsibilities
- Receive, check and book in incoming materials and components.
- Process goods accurately through the MRP system.
- Allocate and put away stock in the correct warehouse locations.
- Pick components and prepare kits for production works orders.
- Maintain accurate stock records and support regular stock checks.
- Check incoming goods against paperwork, specifications and requirements.
- Carry out basic visual and dimensional inspection of components.
- Work closely with production and quality to ensure materials are available when required.
- Maintain a clean, organised and accurate stores environment.
We're looking for someone with previous stores, warehouse, goods in or materials experience, ideally gained within manufacturing or engineering. Experience using an MRP or ERP system would be beneficial, alongside good computer skills and strong attention to detail.
You don't need to come from a quality inspection background. Any experience checking components, working from drawings or within electronics manufacturing would be advantageous, but training can be provided.
More importantly, you'll be organised, reliable and comfortable taking ownership of your workload in a busy manufacturing environment.
