HR Generalist
Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a varied, full-time and permanent HR Generalist role in Malton, offering a salary of up to £30,000?

The role
As HR Generalist, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing day-to-day HR support to managers and employees
- Supporting employee relations matters, including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance processes
- Coordinating recruitment, interviews, offers and onboarding
- Preparing contracts, correspondence and employee documentation
- Supporting probation reviews, appraisals and performance management
- Maintaining accurate employee records and updating the HR system
- Monitoring absence, holidays and other people-related data
- Supporting engagement, wellbeing and retention initiatives
- Assisting with HR policies, procedures and employment law updates
- Contributing to people projects and continuous improvement activity
- Working closely with managers to understand and support their people requirements
The ideal candidate
We would be interested in speaking with candidates who have:
- Previous experience within a varied generalist HR position
- A good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
- Experience supporting employee relations matters
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A professional, approachable and people-focused manner
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- CIPD Level 3 or equivalent practical HR experience
Experience within engineering, manufacturing or another operational environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
The position could suit an experienced HR Coordinator or HR Officer looking to broaden their responsibilities, or an established HR Generalist seeking a varied role within a supportive business.
