Castle Employment Group is recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established industrial manufacturing site in the Moray area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrically qualified Engineer who enjoys a varied, hands-on role combining electrical and mechanical maintenance with the day-to-day operation of production plant.

Unlike a traditional maintenance-only position, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of both plant operation and maintenance, supporting production performance, equipment reliability and continuous improvement.

The Role

  • Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault finding and repairs across production equipment.

  • Operate and monitor plant machinery, ensuring safe and efficient production.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults to minimise downtime.

  • Support planned maintenance and site improvement initiatives.

  • Work closely with the Operations team to achieve production targets.

  • Assist with general plant duties, including operating a shovel loader and maintaining good housekeeping standards.

  • Maintain high standards of health, safety and operational compliance.

What We're Looking For

  • Electrically qualified Engineer, although mechanically qualified Engineers with strong electrical knowledge will also be considered.

  • Experience in maintenance, fault finding and troubleshooting within a manufacturing, industrial or high-volume processing environment.

  • Good understanding of both electrical and mechanical equipment.

  • Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.

  • Comfortable combining hands-on maintenance with plant operation.

  • Proactive, reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Good communication skills and basic IT literacy.

Benefits

  • 277.2 hours annual leave, inclusive of public holidays.

  • 4% pension contribution, with auto-enrolment after three months.

  • £500 annual contribution towards private health insurance.

  • Training and development opportunities.

Interested?

If you're an electrically qualified or multi-skilled Engineer looking for a varied position where you can combine your maintenance expertise with hands-on plant operation, we'd be keen to hear from you.
