A business based in Sherburn in Elmet is currently recruiting for a Temporary Accounts Assistant to join their busy Finance Team on a 3-month contract. The successful candidate will receive a salary of £30,000 pro rata, alongside attractive working hours of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role also offers a supportive team environment and the opportunity to gain valuable experience within an established finance function.
Key responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant will include:
- Processing purchase invoices and ensuring they are coded and recorded accurately
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
- Supporting the sales ledger, including raising invoices and allocating payments
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
- Processing expenses and assisting with payment runs
- Supporting the preparation of financial reports when required
- Maintaining organised financial documentation and records
- Providing general administrative support to the finance team and assisting with ad hoc duties
