Interim Accounts Payable Manager

A dynamic business based in Hull is currently looking for an Interim Accounts Payable Manager to join their finance team on a contract basis. On offer is a salary of £32,500, hybrid working (typically 2–3 days in the office), and the chance to step into a hands-on, value-adding role within a supportive team.

As an Interim Accounts Payable Manager, you will be:

• Leading and managing the accounts payable function to ensure accurate and timely payments
• Overseeing a small AP team, providing guidance and performance support
• Handling supplier reconciliations and managing resolution of invoice disputes
• Acting as the key point of contact for internal teams and external suppliers
• Supporting the month-end close process and assisting with financial reporting
• Reviewing systems and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement
• Maintaining compliance with internal controls and company policies

To be successful in this Interim Accounts Payable Manager role, you will ideally have:

• Demonstrated experience in managing or leading accounts payable operations
• Good working knowledge of finance systems and Excel
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A process-driven mindset with a focus on accuracy and deadlines
• Availability to start at short notice
