We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join an established manufacturing business based in Goole. This is a permanent, salaried position offering £41,000 per annum, alongside an overnight allowance for nights away and a strong benefits package.

The role:

  • You will be responsible for multi-drop deliveries across mainland UK, pulling tautliners and delivering products to customer sites as well as collecting empty IBCs.
  • The position involves typically 2 nights out per week, occasionally 3, so applicants must be comfortable with regular nights away from home.
  • Hours will vary depending on order volumes but will average no more than 48 hours per week over a 17-week reference period.
  • Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
    • Completing planned multi-drop delivery routes safely and efficiently
    • Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring full roadworthiness and legal compliance
    • Checking and completing delivery documentation
    • Maintaining communication with the Planning team regarding delays or delivery issues
    • Ensuring compliance with UK/EU Drivers' Hours and Working Time regulations
    • Maintaining a professional standard when representing the business at customer sites
