Job Description
Are you an experienced Office Manager who enjoys being at the heart of a business, keeping everything organised while supporting both employees and the wider management team?
We are recruiting for an Office Manager to join an established business in Hunmanby. This is a varied, standalone role combining office management, HR administration, recruitment and wider commercial support.
Working closely with managers and directors across the business, you will be a key point of contact for employees while ensuring the day-to-day office runs smoothly and efficiently.
As Office Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the smooth day-to-day running of the office and providing administrative support across the business.
- Supporting customer and commercial administration including sales orders, acknowledgements and invoicing using Sage.
- Coordinating schedules, dispatch and logistics, including DHL shipments and documentation.
- Maintaining key business reports including WIP, order values and employee turnover.
- Supporting Health & Safety administration, including PPE, uniforms and associated documentation.
- Managing sickness, holidays and attendance information and providing accurate employee data for payroll.
- Coordinating training and development and maintaining accurate training records.
- Maintaining employee records, HR policies, procedures and the employee handbook.
- Acting as the first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries and supporting managers with HR processes.
- Managing recruitment activities including job descriptions, advertising, interviews, offers and apprentice recruitment.
- Coordinating the employee lifecycle from contracts and onboarding through to employee changes and offboarding.
We are looking for someone who is confident working independently and comfortable taking ownership of a varied role. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience within an Office Manager, HR Administrator, HR Coordinator or similar business support role.
- CIPD Level 3 would be advantageous, although this is not essential for someone with practical HR experience.
- Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee records and day-to-day employee queries.
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A confident, approachable communication style and the ability to work closely with managers, directors and employees.
This role would suit someone who enjoys variety and wants to take ownership of the office and people administration within a business where they can build strong relationships across different departments.
Working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 8am-5pm, and Friday, 8am-11:30am, this will be earning a salary of Β£30,000.
This is a great opportunity to join a business where you can make the role your own, working closely with senior management and becoming a key part of the day-to-day running of the organisation.
