Overview
My client are seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will have 5+ years experience and be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical systems with Commercial construction projects. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the successful execution of projects.
Responsibilities

  • Designing electrical systems and equipment in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Developing and testing prototypes to assess performance and reliability.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical components.
  • Conducting feasibility studies and cost estimates for electrical projects.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues during the design and implementation phases.
  • Ensuring that all designs meet safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor\’s degree or ONC/HND in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in electrical design and development.
  • Proficiency in using CAD software for electrical design.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Day-to-day

  • Collaborating with the M&E team to brainstorm new electrical design concepts.
  • Utilising CAD software to create detailed electrical schematics and layouts.
  • Testing and evaluating prototypes to identify and address any electrical issues.
  • Communicating with suppliers to select appropriate electrical components.
  • Participating in project meetings and providing technical expertise on electrical design aspects.
