Are you passionate about helping people kick-start their careers? Would you love the opportunity to take ownership of early careers and apprenticeship programmes, making a real difference to the next generation of talent?

We have an exciting opportunity for an Early Careers & Apprenticeship Advisor to join an established, multi-site organisation based in Darlington. This is a brand-new role, offering the chance to really make it your own!

Working closely with the Learning & Development Manager, you'll build relationships with education providers, coordinate recruitment activities and become a trusted point of contact for trainees throughout their development journey.

As Early Careers & Apprenticeship Advisor, you'll be responsible for:

  • Taking ownership of the trainee and apprenticeship journey, from initial attraction through to qualification.
  • Building strong relationships with schools, colleges, universities and training providers to attract future talent.
  • Representing the business at careers fairs, recruitment events and early careers activities.
  • Working with hiring managers to understand future trainee and apprenticeship requirements.
  • Coordinating recruitment campaigns, reviewing applications and conducting initial candidate conversations.
  • Organising interviews, assessment days and selection activities, ensuring a brilliant candidate experience.
  • Keeping in touch with successful candidates ahead of their start date and coordinating their onboarding and induction.
  • Becoming a key point of contact for trainees, providing guidance, encouragement and support throughout their programmes.
  • Liaising with apprenticeship providers and professional training organisations to coordinate courses, examinations and qualifications.
  • Monitoring trainee progress, key milestones and deadlines, keeping accurate records along the way.
  • Working with managers and trainees to ensure everyone understands their responsibilities and expectations.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve and develop early careers programmes across the organisation.

We're looking for someone with experience in apprenticeships, early careers or trainee programmes, with an understanding of recruitment, training providers and professional development.

You’ll be confident supporting trainees, building relationships with key stakeholders and managing multiple programmes, with the flexibility to travel between regional offices once a week.

This will be working Monday to Friday 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm, with flexible hours available when you travel to different offices earning a salary of £32,000.
