Are you an analytical and detail-focused professional looking for a full-time, permanent Business Development Researcher role based in Driffield, offering a salary of Β£30,000?
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and growing business, supporting its commercial development through market research, business intelligence, CRM management and data analysis.
Working closely with Business Development, Sales and Marketing teams, you will help identify target organisations, key decision-makers, commercial opportunities and relevant industry frameworks. You will also use AI tools and automation to improve research capabilities, data quality and insight generation.
The role
As Business Development Researcher, your responsibilities will include:
- Researching and mapping target organisations, key accounts, stakeholders and decision-makers
- Gathering, verifying and maintaining prospect and customer information within the CRM system
- Ensuring CRM records are accurate, complete and up to date
- Providing relevant data, research and market intelligence to Business Development and Sales teams
- Supporting lead generation campaigns and wider commercial initiatives
- Identifying potential industry frameworks that could create new business opportunities
- Tracking and monitoring relevant frameworks and procurement opportunities
- Identifying opportunities available through existing frameworks
- Using AI tools to support research, data validation, analysis and reporting
- Exploring software, automation and technology that could improve research processes and data quality
- Collecting and sharing market intelligence across the business
- Working collaboratively with Sales and Marketing colleagues to support strategic priorities
- Ensuring all research and data management activity complies with relevant data protection requirements
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of systems, processes and ways of working
The ideal candidate
You may already be working in a business development, sales support, marketing, research or data-focused position and be looking for an opportunity where you can develop your commercial research and analytical capabilities.
You should have:
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience using CRM systems and managing business or customer data
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- An interest in developing your knowledge of AI, automation and research technology
- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across Sales, Marketing and Business Development
- A proactive approach to improving data quality and identifying commercial opportunities
Experience within engineering, manufacturing or a related sector would be beneficial, although it is not essential.
Hours and salary
- Salary of Β£30,000
- Full-time, permanent position
- Based in Driffield
- Monday to Thursday, 8.30am to 5.00pm
- Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm
