Responsibilities of the Accountant job include:
- Preparing year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
- Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax returns
- Supporting with general practice accounting work
- Working with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses
- Liaising directly with clients and dealing with queries professionally
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Taking responsibility for your own workload and ensuring deadlines are met
- Working closely with colleagues across the wider practice
- Supporting more senior members of the team where required
- Continuing to develop your technical knowledge and take on increased responsibility
Requirements of the Accountant job include:
- Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong experience across accounts preparation and general practice work
- ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified or QBE will be considered depending on experience
- Experience working with a varied SME client base
- Good understanding of accounts and tax
- Confident communicating with clients and colleagues
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Able to manage your own workload and work to deadlines
- A friendly, approachable and professional manner
- A genuine desire to develop and build a long-term career within practice
