We have an opportunity for a Document Controller to join a well-established manufacturing business on the outskirts of Driffield, on a Fixed-Term Contract until May 2027. With a strong pipeline of work, they are looking for a Document Controller to step in quickly and keep projects running smoothly.
You will be organised, detail-focused and comfortable handling large volumes of information, with strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to produce clear, accurate documentation. We are keen to speak with anyone who has experience managing document changes or variations, or who has completed Document Control duties as part of their job. Please note due to location, you will need your own transport.
Duties:- Set up standard file templates for new projects
- Manage and maintain the internal document storage system
- Create and manage Task Information Delivery Plans
- Keep internal filing systems and drawing registers up to date
- Organise and file documents clearly and consistently
- Check and update records to keep information accurate
- Share project information with internal teams and external contacts
- Manage document processes across the business
- Handle confidential information securely
- Prepare reports and technical documents when needed
- Delegate tasks and support project scheduling
- Carry out audits to ensure standards are met
- Previous experience within a document control role or similar environment
- Knowledge of SharePoint, Viewpoint, Aconex or other document control systems
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent typing and report writing ability
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident managing large volumes of information across multiple systems
- Experience managing document changes or variations would be beneficial
- Able to work both independently and as part of a wider team
This role offers full-time hours, Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm and Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm, earning a salary between £26,000-£30,000 depending on experience. If you are available at short notice and looking for a contract where you can add real value from day one, this could be a great fit.
