Night Shift
Monday to Thursday, 7.00 pm – 4.45 am.
Pay rate: £24.16 per hour.
Overtime is available at enhanced rates up to double time.
Responsibilities
- Mark out, assemble and plate heavy structural steel from detailed engineering drawings.
- Work with a variety of structural steel sections, beams and heavy gauge plate.
- Assemble large structural components to tight tolerances.
- Carry out tack welding where required during assembly.
- Use overhead cranes and workshop equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all work meets the required quality and production standards.
Qualifications / Experience
- Time served or apprentice trained as a Plater.
- Experienced as a Plater within heavy or structural steel.
- Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Experienced assembling large structural steelwork.
- Able to work accurately in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
