A growing manufacturing business is looking to add multiple Mechanical Assemblers to its day shift team due to a significant increase in workload and ongoing project demand. This is a great opportunity to join a busy production environment where long-term opportunities and regular overtime are available. You will be involved in the assembly of large modular floor and roof chassis systems along with modular cube structures, working as part of an experienced production team focused on quality, safety and output.

What the role involves:

  • Assembling modular floor and roof chassis systems to specification
  • Building modular cube structures using a range of hand and power tools
  • Measuring, marking out and aligning steel components accurately
  • Using overhead cranes to move and position materials safely
  • Reading and following technical drawings and assembly instructions where required
  • Working from production schedules to meet build targets and deadlines
  • Carrying out mechanical fitting and assembly work to high quality standards
  • Inspecting completed assemblies to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Working collaboratively with team leaders and experienced assemblers on shift
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment
  • Supporting continuous improvement and efficient workflow across the production area

What we are looking for:

  • Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment
  • Previous mechanical assembly or modular build experience would be beneficial
  • Confident using hand and power tools including drills, impact drivers and grinders
  • Experience using overhead cranes would be advantageous
  • Ability to measure and work accurately with steel components
  • A strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Commitment to quality and safe working practices
