A well-established and highly regarded business based in Hull is currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper to join their team on a permanent basis. On offer is a competitive salary, circa £30,000 per annum, along with a strong benefits package.
As a Bookkeeper, you will be:
- Maintaining accurate financial records including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments
- Reconciling bank statements and managing company ledgers
- Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc reporting and administrative duties
- Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and ensure excellent service delivery
To be successful in this Bookkeeper role, you will ideally have:
- Proven experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounts role, ideally within a practice or SME environment
- Strong proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- A proactive and flexible approach with the ability to manage your own workload
- AAT qualification or working towards (desirable but not essential)
