An established manufacturing business based in Sherburn, Malton is looking to appoint an experienced Document Controller to join their team. This is a standalone role where you'll take full ownership of document control processes, supporting key departments and ensuring accurate, timely and compliant document management across the business. You'll be the go-to person for coordinating the flow of information between the design team, internal departments, clients and external partners, playing a vital role in the smooth running of projects.

Some of the key Document Control duties will be:

  • Collating and distributing documentation from and to the design team across the business
  • Recording the status of information using a project-specific numbering system and carrying out regular audits
  • Uploading drawings and models to internal portals following strict naming protocols
  • Downloading drawings, specifications and client information as needed
  • Preparing construction packages of drawings and documents for sites
  • Liaising with customers and adapting to their document control processes
  • Using an Excel-based system to manage documentation
  • Running the document control process with an eye for improvement and efficiency

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in document control, ideally within a manufacturing, engineering or construction environment
  • Confidently navigating a range of document portals and internal systems
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload
  • Comfortable working independently

This will be working Monday to Thursday 8:30am – 5:15pm and Friday: 8:30am – 3:00pm earning a salary of £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience. If you’ve got the experience and drive to take ownership of this role and help shape the document control function, we’d love to hear from you.
