A Warehouse Stores Person is required for a market-leading Renewables company based near Kirkbymoorisde. We are looking for someone who can start immediately and can work a core pattern of a Monday-Friday working week on 7:30am-4:30pm, with an early finish on a Friday. This role is commutable from Scarborough, Pickering, York, Malton and Ryedale areas!

Key Responsibilities (Key Tasks):

  • Conduct perpetual inventory checks and advise the Warehouse Supervisor of any changes.
  • Organize and store stock in their designated locations within the stores department.
  • Handle dispatch, packing, and shipment activities.
  • Kit works orders as necessary and flag any shortages to the kit list.
  • Check and process shop-floor returns for stock replenishment.
  • Unload vehicles, check goods in, and undertake offsite driving work for parts delivery and collection.
  • Complete all necessary documentation according to company requirements.
  • Ensure high standards of housekeeping at all times.
  • Implement suggestions for improvements in store layouts and activities.
  • Carry out all tasks in line with Health & Safety regulations.

Accountabilities (Deliverables):

  • Ensure all stock is put away within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Kit out work orders to keep production teams running.
  • Re-supply any shortages to the kit list for shop floor requirements.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and physically put back to stock location observing FIFO practices.
  • Maintain and store goods inward documentation for goods inward booking duties.
  • Prepare goods for shipment to ensure no transit damage or delivery delays.

  • Good team player.
  • Manual dexterity and agility to work in small spaces.
  • Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
  • Forklift license and a full clean driving license.
  • Ability to understand drawings in line with basic quality control decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
