Are you an organised Buyer or Purchasing professional looking to join a well-established manufacturing business with a supportive procurement team? Castle Employment Group are recruiting for a Buyer to join an established Group Procurement Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous purchasing experience who enjoys building supplier relationships, managing orders and ensuring materials and consumables are delivered on time to support multiple manufacturing sites.

The Role

  • Processing purchase requisitions from multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Raising purchase orders against agreed supplier contracts and price agreements.
  • Obtaining quotations from approved suppliers for non-contract items.
  • Expediting orders and monitoring supplier delivery performance.
  • Maintaining accurate purchasing information within the ERP system.
  • Checking and approving invoices to ensure timely payment.
  • Supporting colleagues across the procurement team and providing holiday cover where required.

About You

  • Previous experience within a Buyer, Purchasing Assistant or Procurement role.
  • A good understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good numerical and IT skills, ideally with ERP or MRP systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to build effective supplier relationships.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and managing changing priorities.
