A firm of Accountants based in York is recruiting for a Tax Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful individual will be responsible for working on all tax activities including tax planning, tax compliance and preparation of business and personal tax returns.
Excellent benefits include a salary of up to £47,000, flexible working hours, private healthcare and a generous holiday allowance of 32 days holiday (plus bank holidays). This role can be considered on a full or part-time basis.
Reporting into the partners, the Tax Manager will be responsible for:
- Management of the tax team, responsible for developing the department
- Managing and growing a portfolio of clients
- Attracting new clients and contributing to the success of the firm
- Working alongside Client Managers and Directors to spot opportunities
- Providing advice and tax updates, as well as training
- Getting to know each client and their business so that you can add value with your tax expertise
To be successful in this Tax Manager role, you must:
- Be ICAEW/CTA/ATT qualified
- Be confident advising clients on tax matters
- Have a proven record as a team leader and enjoy managing and developing a team
- Have experience working in Tax in an Accountancy Practice setting
