Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys being at the heart of a busy manufacturing environment? We're working with a well-established manufacturing business in Scarborough that is looking to strengthen its People team with the addition of a Senior HR Advisor. This is a full-time, office-based role, working Monday to Friday, offering the opportunity to work closely with managers across the site, provide practical HR support and play a key role in strengthening employee engagement, compliance and organisational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted HR partner, providing practical advice and guidance to managers and employees.
- Manage a range of employee relations matters, including absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance issues.
- Support the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to development and offboarding.
- Maintain accurate HR documentation, contracts and employee records, ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
- Coach and support line managers to build confidence in people management.
- Contribute to HR projects focused on engagement, wellbeing, training and continuous improvement.
- Develop strong working relationships across Production, Operations, Engineering and other support functions.
About You
You’ll already have experience in a generalist HR role and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous HR experience within manufacturing, engineering or another operational environment.
- Confidence managing a broad range of employee relations cases.
- A sound understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- A proactive, approachable style with the ability to build credibility across the business.
- CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification would be advantageous, although relevant experience is equally important.
