The Role
As a CNC Operative, you'll play a key role in manufacturing precision components to the highest quality standards.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include
- Setting and operating CNC machinery.
- Producing one-off and small batch precision components.
- Working from engineering drawings.
- Manufacturing components to tight tolerances.
- Inspecting your own work using measuring equipment.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and housekeeping.
- Working collaboratively within an experienced machining team.
About You
To be successful, you'll ideally have
- Previous experience setting and operating CNC machinery.
- Experience within a precision engineering or metal fabrication environment.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- A keen eye for detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
- Experience in any of the following would also be beneficial, but is not essential
- CNC milling or turning.
- Editing or creating CNC programmes.
- Heidenhain controls.
- CAD/CAM software such as Solid Works or CAMWorks.
