Overview
My client are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join their team, open on experience from 3 years upwards. The ideal candidate will have expertise in quantity surveying and estimating within Civils and Groundworks. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a passion for accurately assessing project costs, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities
- Conducting cost estimates for construction projects
- Analysing project plans and drawings to determine accurate quantities of materials and labour required
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate cost assessments
- Preparing and submitting tender documents, proposals, and bids
- Monitoring project progress and costs to identify potential financial risks
- Adhering to health and safety regulations and ensuring compliance throughout the estimating process
- Providing expertise in civils, groundworks, and various construction roles
Day-to-day As a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator, you will spend most of your time analysing project plans and drawings, conducting cost estimates, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Your role will also involve preparing tender documents, monitoring project progress, and providing expertise in civils, groundworks, and construction roles. Qualifications
- Bachelor\’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and health and safety regulations
- Proficiency in using estimating software and tools
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Certification in Health & Safety Management is a plus
