Role: Programme Leader Maths – Further Education

Hourly Rate: £35 – £50 per hour

Location: Scarborough

We are working with a well-regarded and inclusive education provider in the Scarborough area that is committed to helping every learner thrive. The setting promotes a calm and purposeful learning environment, where students are supported to develop both academically and personally.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Programme Leader in Maths to join the team on a part-time basis (26 hours per week) starting in September. This is a temporary position and would suit an experienced and inspirational educator with a passion for curriculum development and leadership in Mathematics.

The successful candidate will bring subject expertise, a dynamic teaching style, and the ability to lead others effectively. A strong track record in post-16 or further education settings would be beneficial, along with the ability to motivate learners and staff alike.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading the design, planning, and delivery of the Maths curriculum
  2. Supporting and mentoring colleagues within the department
  3. Tracking learner progress and using data to inform planning
  4. Driving continuous improvement through quality assurance and innovation
  5. Engaging with internal teams to enhance the student experience
