Castle Employment Group are working with an engineering manufacturer to recruit a Production Coordinator. The role would suit an organised and proactive individual with experience in a manufacturing, engineering, planning or production support environment.
The Role
As Production Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth flow of materials, documentation and production orders through the manufacturing operation. Working closely with Stores, Production, Planning and other internal departments, you will ensure production teams have the resources they need to meet project deadlines and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate released production orders from Stores to the shop floor.
- Track and monitor production kits throughout the build process.
- Sign for kits and shortages from Stores, updating trackers and escalating issues where required.
- Support production teams with day-to-day requests through the ERP system.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure components, sub-assemblies and products are available when needed.
- Expedite parts and materials through the business to support project delivery.
- Produce and issue job cards in a timely manner.
- Monitor progress and communicate any issues to management.
About You
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Production Coordinator, Production Administrator, Manufacturing Coordinator, Planning Assistant, Materials Coordinator or similar role.
- Experience working within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using ERP or MRP systems such as Microsoft Business Central, Navision or similar.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
- A proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A mechanical or technical background would be advantageous but is not essential.
This is a permanent role and is commutable from Malton, York, Scarborough, Thirsk, Pickering and surrounding areas.
