A growing, family‑owned manufacturing business in Pickering is looking to appoint a Training Coordinator to take ownership of onboarding, training and early‑stage employee development across the site. Based in Pickering, the role offers Monday to Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm, with an early finish at 1:30pm on Fridays, and a salary of up to £40,000. This is a key role focused on improving retention, consistency and the overall employee experience. You will have the opportunity to bring structure to training, enhance onboarding and make a visible impact from day one.
The Role
- Working closely with managers and team leaders, you will take responsibility for how new starters are introduced, supported and developed across the business.
- Design and deliver structured induction programmes.
- Improve the onboarding experience, ensuring employees are set up for success.
- Identify skills gaps and support the development of targeted training plans.
- Coordinate and deliver training activity across teams.
- Support managers with coaching and team development.
- Introduce and maintain a more structured approach to L&D.
- Track progress, gather feedback and drive continuous improvement.
