Nursery Support Assistants – Flexible Hours Available in York
We are recruiting on behalf of two nurseries in the centre and on the outskirts of York, looking for dedicated Nursery Support Assistants to provide essential support across their settings.
Position: Nursery Support Assistant
Location: Two nurseries – city centre and outskirts of York
Hours: Flexible, ranging from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Type: Ad-hoc and part-time shifts available
Pay: Competitive hourly rates
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years
- Support nursery staff in creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
- Engage with children through play, promoting their development and well-being
- Help with daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and outdoor activities
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and health & safety regulations
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a childcare or nursery setting is desirable
- Passionate about working with young children and supporting their development
- Flexible and reliable, with the ability to adapt to different nursery environments
- Strong communication skills and a team player
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
